Is there a way to copy jar files to the Razr V3 using bluetooth or USB cable? Mobile phone tools does not appear to support this.

Hmm have not tried that yet used to be able to do it very easily on my Nextel phones. Something I found on motomodders.net might help. If you are not member join, cost nothing lots of info. http://www.motomodders.net/Default.a...2&postid=33929 Also check out the sticky on this forum has lots of info on modding moto phones and links so you can download the necessary software. |

I am a little confused the thread is entitled "Razr- How to copy java Applications" and your asking about I830s? Those would be nextel phones, correct? Actually I found installing applications, ringtones, wallpapers etc to be much easier than doing so on my Razr. Some things you need, a cable to connect the phone to the computer, an application called WebJal, and drivers so the computer recognizes the phone once connected. Almost all that stuff is free on the internet, just have to hunt around the different forums. Only thing that will cost is the cable. But just go to e-bay and search for "data cable for I830". I did and quickly found cables and CD ROMs that have the drivers. Cables and CD were only $3.00. Then you can again search E-bay and search for Webjal. And you will find that for about $10.00. But like I said you can sometimes find it free on the net, but can be a little trickier to install by pulling it from the web. Again search the various forums regarding use of the application, but it is not too difficult once you have the cable and software. The Webjal software if pretty easy to use, much simpler than the stuff I use for my Razr. Hope this helps, unfortunatly I deleted most of the stuff I had for Nextel Phones, since I don't use them anymore. Including links I had to some really good forums specifically for Nextel phones. Here are links to a couple good ones, IDEN Insider http://www.insiderforums.com/forums/index.php and Howards Forums has Motorla and Nextel forums http://www.howardforums.com/ and while I tend not to look at the Nextel forum on WA, since I don't have a nextel phone, you might want to check that also. Hope this all helps ATTN: Moderators, might want to move this question and response to the correct forum |

Something I just thought of after my previouse response. Is there a Nextel authorized repair center where you live? If so just take both phones to them they might charge you a fee, but they have tools that allows them to copy things from one Nextel phone to a computer. Then they can connect the 2nd phone and copy the stuff down to it. Has to be an authorized repair service, not just some place that sells nextel phones. I have had that done when I changed phones and they copied everthing, contacts, apps, ringtones, wallpapers etc, from one phone to another. Again Moderators, might want to move this question and response to correct forum |

I tried everything, the Midway software, Pktools etc and just had problem after problem. In the end I found this page How to install java applications and games on your Motorola Razr V3x and it was so easy. No funny software, no fee, but so obvious it hurts to think I wasted so much time searching for other ways. |
