Re: How to pair the e815 and hs820?? On the phone go to settings>connections>bluetooth. Make sure it is on un der setup. Go back and scroll up to handsfree, select, highlight look for devices and select. As soon as you do that follow these instructions:

Step 1: When the headset is off, press and hold the multifunction button until the headset indicatorturns on permanently.
Step 2: Perform a device discovery (or scan) from the phone. For details about device discoveryconsult your phone’s user guide.
Step 3: Select the Motorola HS820 in the list of discovered devices and confirm by following the on-screenprompts.
Step 4: When requested by the phone, enter the passkey 0000 and confirm.
The device ID is now stored in the phone’s memory. Pairing is successful when the headset indicatorflashes rapidly.

Re: How to pair the e815 and hs820?? Also, you might want to think about returning the HS820 in favor of its upgrade, the H500, now available. (Best Buy has it for $69.) My HS820 is kinda dead (the speaker horn blew, so incoming callers sound distorted), and I replaced it with the H300 (similar to the HS820 & H500, but with a AAA battery
instead of a rechargable); and while the command system (using the multipurpose call button) is essentially unchanged, I've found the H300 to be much more responsive than the old one. I imagine the H500 would be similarly improved. The innocent shall suffer. Big time.
