Default E815 and HS820

Hello, I just received my headset and paired it with no problems. I am able to connect/disconnect with no problems.

My question is: Are there any shortcuts to putting the phone into bluetooth mode? I mean is: Instead of going to Menu/Settings/Connection/Bluetooth/Setup/Power On Is there some type of shortcut?

It seems kind of cumbersome to me.

Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

set up your home screen to do it. I replaced Cingular's media Mall on my main screen with a shortcut to bluetooth.

Thanks for the quick reply! You've peaked my interest.

How would I do that? With some instruction I can get my way around the phone. I'm not usually one to mod. things. I basically use the phone to talk on!!!

If could provide instruction, that would be great!

Thanks again,

Steve

P.S. Appropriate screen name for you!

OK, I created a shortcut to the "Find Me" section in settings. A message, "Discoverable 60 seconds" appears on the screen. Does this mean that I have 60 seconds to turn on the HS820? OR Does it mean that the connection will only last 60 seconds?

Thanks again,

Steve

Steve - if you're leaving BT on all the time, then after the initial pairing, the phone will automatically recognize the headset whenever the headset is powered up. You shouldn't need to constantly re-pair it.

Hi Critic,

I'm not re-pairing the phone and headset. The section I am referring to is turning on the Bluetooth on the phone.

If I leave phone's bluetooth on all the time, I will only be able to make calls using the headset, correct?

I may be confusing this whole thing....it's new to me!

Thanks,

Steve

you can turn bluetooth on and leave it. Then when you turn on the headset it will automatically pair with the handset (and at this point you can only talk through the headset) but you can then turn the headset off and once again talk through the handset
