Which phone is better in terms of the reception, ability to hold calls, RF, bluetooth, speaker phone, and battery life? Please list the pros and cons for each phone. Thanks in advance.

I personally like the v551 better, the razr gave me problems with dropped calls and such, but the v551 is great and i had it for about 3 months now.

I just wanted everyone's personal opinion before I bought the phone since I posted this message a week or so before I bought the Razr (the date that I posted it was 9/8/05).

I had the V3 for about a month, very sharp phone but I felt the V551 was a better choice. My biggest gripe with the V3 was the external LCD it was always too dark to see anything unless you activated the light. I experienced dropped calls on both phones but more so with the V3 and everyone complained they heard static. If I had a choice though and you want a solid dependable phone ride it out a little longer and see what Cingular comes up with for Nokia's. Good luck Joe |

so far what Cingular has released from Nokia was pulled from the shelves, though it's back now... | |

I get a perfect signal both inside and outside of the areas that I use it the most. Thanks for your comparison, though.

Yes ofcourse the topic of this thread is Razr vs V551 but I am sure you didn't expect me to let it go without putting my 2 cents when you mentioned the latest "love of my love" Technically the 6682 was never pulled off the shelves, the stores were allowed to sell their existing stock but ordering of new stocks was on hold from 9/23 - 9/30. It was not available on Cingular's website either. Just to keep somewhat on topic (not really), here is my opinion on Motos, I had the opprtuniy to test the the V600 (I was told that the Razr is a basically a V600 in a "nice suit") against my 6230 in a fringe area, and although the Nokia did have a slight edge but, if the V600 was my only phone I could have lived with it.

Phonescoop lists battery life on the 551 as being 3.75 hours talk time.....meanwhile shows the RAZR having like 7 hours. I know conditions will make that time vary...but there is a big difference from 4-7 hours. I know phonescoop is not always that accurate as well. Comparing the two....which one has better? Can you really get 7 hours out of your RAZR Tony....Gamer...? |

I don't know how much you can get out of a V3, but I know I get more than 3.75 hours out of my V551, and that is with a bluetooth headset. There are days I spend hours on the phone and I don't have problems with the batteries giving out.
