I just installed the new ROM. EVDO speeds are slightly faster for downloads, but nothing really noticeable. Uploading is significantly faster. Web surfing seems to be a bit more snappy with less delay loading pages, but that would be my imagination. I was just testing the device itself, not using a tethered computer and I don't have a speed test to post at this time. In addition, roaming hasn't worked since the ROM update which is getting me very worried. I am using PRL 60610 which was fine before the ROM update. I can't make calls or use 1x data roaming on Verizon since installing the new ROM, but I do get the signal and it shows up in the field test as well. It seems like Verizon doesn't want to let my device on their network. Any thoughts on a possible resolution to this problem? |

to the naked eye speeds wont seem faster. but in multi-tasking or with lower signal, speeds should be faster than what they were prior to i would imagine.. i find it awesome they can improve it through software updates |

Corolada PRL Page Just copy the file over to your device. Dial ##775#, and enter your MSL.

How do you get your MSL? I thought Sprint has to give it to you. If so, how would I go about receiving my MSL? Does this work for other PDA phones (i.e. my Treo 755p)? Thanks in advance.

Images: 14 | Just call or email Sprint. If the rep dose not give it to you then just call back, and give an excuse to reprogram your phone. When they ask you to dial ##123456# write that six digit number down, that is your MSL. And this only works on HTC WM devices, and some Samsung models.

Well I wasn't getting roaming services on my phone with the new ROM so I had to call tech support. They were able to reload the HLR and that fixed the problem. If other people experience difficulties roaming after loading the new ROM, call in and ask for an HLR reload. Aside from that little hassle, the new ROM is sweet! |

When I did the update, I was not able to roam either. I just called up sprint and got that fixed. What a stupid annoying error!

I hope the Mogul users are liking their update as much as I am liking the official Sprint Vogue (Touch) ROM that was leaked yesterday.

Images: 64 | Sounds good but I have a few questions about the update. 1. Where can I go to get the update? 2. Was is actually released or is is just a leak or an adapted version of an update to other HTC devices? 3. Have you tried it or at least heard that it works? Thanks. |

2. This is a leaked OFFICIAL version of the new ROM. This is, from what I understand, the official ROM. 3. I have tried it, and I LOVE IT. It works great, with no issues so far. Oh wait! The new ROM takes out the ability to force roaming off of Sprint. There is a workaround for this issue though.

Sad to hear that about the roaming, although it is nice there is a workaround for the technically inclined. The roaming changes mean Dan Hesse's Verizonification of Sprint is even hitting older devices. Booo.

Having "Sprint Only" & "Automatic" as the only choices is a very bad move on Sprint's part. Thank goodness that WM is so hackable/customizable to add the "Roam Only". |

Images: 1 | I'm blown away by the Touch upgrade - the gps is faster and more sensitive than my bt receiver! I don't have EVDO where I live, but for some reason my 1x seems a lot faster - which really doesn't make any sense. Oh well. I'm happy!

GPS is lightning quick now, compared to the test ROM that leaked a few weeks back. I am on the boarder of EVDO and my speeds now are 300kbps, before they were around 125kbps. I can't wait til tomorrow and try out my Touch in town where their is a better EVDO signal. | |
