Is there an option to disable the data under the windows files menu? If she doesn't have a data plan, and this program goes on the Internet every few minutes and check for traffic and weather updates, the pay per use data charges could be astronomical.

In TomTom tap the screen and scroll through the menus until you see "TomTom Plus Services". Tap it and if you see an icon with a red X through it and it says disable wireless data, tap it. It will then change to enable wireless data.

Of course you can always remove the internet settings from the PDA itself so it does not have the info to use the AT&T wireless connection at all.

Jay thanks for the info. I'll let her know when I see her again at work. I'm sure by that time, she'll have more questions for me.

Nope, it hasn't lost any novelty, as a matter of fact, I love it even more now that I've learned how to hack it, and add some really slick features. I feel this is the best phone I ever purchased.

Sorry, I just noticed your post there. It was relatively easy to hack, but of course before you go off modding any device there is a lot of research and reading to do before you begin so you don't screw up your device.

The following are what make this such a fantastic device...

HSDPA data, built in Wi-Fi, Built in GPS, decent camera (3mp), good battery life, Great voice quality, Holds onto a signal just as good as my old Motorolas, and there is lots of modding support out there.
