Ugh, I don't believe any of these rumors. I will believe it when I see it.

Same here! Plus I find it ridiculous that the only major improvement with this update is bluetooth, but no EVDO RevA which was promised when the Mogul launched

I too will not hold my breath for this update. It would have been nice to get Rev. A and GPS with this update, but it looks like a slim to none chance of this happening.

This would be a welcome update as I have been having quality issues with my bluetooth car kit that hopefully this update will fix. It is the same issue as I have read elsewhere, the caller on the other end says I sound like I have a bad cell signal even though I have 3 to 4 bars. Hopefully not just a rumor. I may try to do some digging to see what I can find from my Sprint rep, but usually the reps are the last to know about this type of stuff.

Well their are some custom ROMS out there, most use the newer Alltel WM6 ROM which seems to make the BT preform better. Like dcd's clean ROM I have been running the last few days with pretty good success. |

I downloaded the update, but I won't be able to install it until later tonight since I don't have time now. Be sure to back up all of your data since this hard resets your device. Still no Rev. A or GPS support with the update.

The bluetooth range is better for me and I hear less static when I am further away from my phone while using my Motorola H700 BT headset. Also, the volume through the BT headset sounds louder. I will test further tomorrow when in my car while driving on the interstate.

I have the Mogul from Sprint and the Motorola H800 (Slider) and I just did the update. Still no bluetooth functionality. It will pair but when I try to use it the phone locks up and I can't hear anything on it/or them hear me. Can anyone please HELP!!!! I don't want to call and have an insurance replacement but it may boil down to that. Thanks in advance for any help.

I will post some more later today after I had tested the bluetooth while driving on the interstate (the volume before the update was low and it was hard to hear someone) to see if the volume and reception has been improved.

Ok so I have not had any luck with this ROM. Here are the things that have happened so far: - several times when hitting the "Windows" key and then I can't navigate with the "Navigation" pad. Try to go up and down no luck. This goes away after I put it to sleep and wake it back up - The screen was messed up once. About a quarter of an inch at the top was just black. A soft reset fixed this. - worst of all, the bluetooth with my car kit is worse! It doesn't seem to pair as quickly as before and when I recieve a call and click to answer, the car kit takes over (mutes the radio and number displayed on radio) however the call is still going through the phone's ear piece. I have been trying to narrow down these but can't seem to find any pattern. I will give it a few more days and then I may try one of the custom ROM's. And if those don't work out, I guess it's back to the original which was pretty stable. |
