Default Vista means no more ActiveSync

I'm beta testing Vista RC1 (Build 5600) no big deal, I've beta'd some much earlier builds they just didn't last as long. Anyways I generally use ActiveSync and it's Outlook Synchronization, at least I did until I upgraded to VIsta last night. Apparently ActiveSync has been replaced by Vista Mobility Center, problem, it doesn't synchronize email currently, nor contacts, or for that matter Notes, or anything else related to Office. I have not yet installed the Office 2007 beta, but I'm getting the idea that it may be required for those features, and that looks bad for some of us, having to upgrade both office and windows at the same time to keep the functionality we've had.

I've heard that as well. I thought it was built into Vista though, maybe I heard wrong...

Don't even waste your time with the Office 2007 beta. I had installed for a few hours before reverting back. I might have kept it if I had more time to dick with finding the features I use often but it's very user unfriendly, especially if you're used to the standard layout of O'97-2k3.

Not quite, Vista's Sync feature sees my phone (and now my memory card) but it wont allow me to sync with Office, just music in Windows Media Player.

I can not find a driver for my V3c RAZR. Vista says that it can not find one.

well vista is Pre release and beta (Release Candidates are still Beta) give it a few after it's released and things will be different.

True. I had to try it to see how it looks. I run XPx64 on my main machine and it has a lot of driver troubles. I will try Vista again latter when more drivers are out.

Thanks.

Alright!

I was wondering if Vista was going to sync with our RAZR V3m's especially WMP11.

Looks like they are working on it.

Hack in above mentioned Thread does work, flawlessly, I am now syncing everything and have been for several days, wanted to test it for major flaws before posting stating that. It's still prebeta though, that is a massive warning, Microsoft is planning on releasing the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) into the open beta program soon. First 3 Screenshots follow:

How did you do that with the three thumbnails?

The only I have been able to figure out is:

Reply->User Cp->attachments->copy shortcut of item I want.

Go back to post paste shortcut and keep doing that until I have everything I need posted.

Can't figure out how to do the pictures side-by-side, etc...
