I am a Cingular customer and plan on moving to tmobile when my contract is up. I am considering purchasing an unlocked 8125. Are there any issues that I should be ware of before making the purchase? I want to make sure the unit will work on the cingular and tmobile networks for web access. Thanks in advance |

Their should be no problem at all. You will just need to find the setting and manually enter them in. BTW,

haha... it's alright. Granted, he might buy that phone early and want to set it up on Cingular to try it out so no harm done. |

To use an unlocked 8125 on T-Mobile is very simple. You have a SIM card that you put into the 8125 from T-Mobile (you get the SIM when you sign up for service) and your phone number is then on the device. You will need a data plan for any internet activity on the device, and a separate SMS plan for the text messages. T-Mobile will not necessarily care that you are using a phone that isn't thiers, but then again, they don't really have a choice which phone you put your SIM in.

Yes, that is all thats required. And the data plan is a add-on, it is not seperate thing. And by the way the 8125 and MDA are the same phones, but just different styling. It may be best to get the MDA as you will be able to put insuance on your phone, and also T-Mobile will not help you if you have any problems with it. So you will be completely on your own with the 8125.

Has anyone successfully got t-mobile MMS to work on their unlocked 8125? I spent all night yesterday checking all forums and figuring our my settings ... and another 3 1/2 hrs with tmobile tech today, but I still can't get it to work. I did my setup based on the tmobile website (also listed in earlier post). I'm out of ideas here (maybe 1 more ... could sbc pocket plus block MMS?) ... I need help. |

Hi, can you use the T-Mobile web (the one for 5.99) on the 8125 or do you have to get a full internet package?
