Hello to anyone out there, I have a ipaq 3955, and i think that my battery may have run it's course. First question (keep in mind that i don't do well with computers, but i keep trying!)- can the re-chargeable battery (Li-ion), be replaced (i know that voids any warranty, but it has elapsed anyway)? Second question, when i try to "soft" reset, it CLEARS OUT EVERYTHING!!! Where do i go to re-boot all of the neat programs i downloaded. I know this may not be enough info, but any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi sfrancia,

yes, of course you can replace battery. I'm nearly sure that it has no effect on your warranty.

But since you have warranty, you may also request HP to replace the battery.

The problems with loosing all applications are coming most probably from bad battery.
