Hi I just recently bought an LG 6100 in place on my samsung a670 because I was having sound quality issues with it. the reception was fine, but i kept constantly hearing a popping sound, or something that sounded similar to a speaker getting ready to blow out, so i bought this phone. unfortunately, i am experiencing the same exact problem with this phone. there is no coincidence of this happening to both phones. i met up with an engineer, and he said what i was hearing i think was what he called a "break and burst" where the cell sites jump back and forth, you are switching between big buildings or there is alot of radiation and/or traffic. He said he learned to tune it out and that maybe i might be sensitive to it. Is there any way that I can reduce this irritating sound on my phone? its really noticable in my dorm. I am wondering why I am the only one hearing this or catching on to it. Please give me your feedback and suggestions. Thanks.

Another issue might be the voice privacy, change it from enhanced to standard. I got a lot of clipping with my 6000 in enhanced but none in standard. Made it sound 1000 times better. Not sure if you have to use the secret menu on the 6100 to get to it but if you do it is menu, 0, security code is 000000
