I figured with all the rave reviews about the Voyager, I'm surprised there aren't more posts. Is it that great of a phone that no one is posting? Or it so awful? LOL I'm looking at getting the Voyager in the next couple of months and hoping to get information, but it doesn't seem to be happening... Would love to hear your experiences! The good....the bad....the ugly.... |

| Wirelessly posted (Sammy U540: SCH-U540/1.0 NetFront/3.0.22.2.5 (GUI) MMP/2.0) A friend of mine that I work with got the Voyager about a week ago. I love the phone, but I am sure it takes some getting used to. He bought the phone thinking that it was a PIM device as well. I showed him how I use AirSet on mine and that seems to work so far. |

So it's sounding like because there are few problems with it that people aren't posting...maybe? Goes to show if you have a good experience, you'll only tell 1-2 people, if it's a bad experience, you'll tell 10! |

The lack of consumer reviews and feedback post purchase has been a common problem on many forums, not just this one. I think it is a matter of where people have nothing negative to say about the phone so they don't post about it. What is the adoption rate of the Voyager, anyway? Another way to look at it is that perhaps there aren't that many people who picked up a Voyager, fearing an overly simplistic iPhone-clone. I keep looking for support and/or user group info on my SCH-u540 but it's often few and far between. |

i think you dont hear much on it for a few reasons. 1. it is still new 2. it is an iphone knock off. and as we all know, whenever there is a copy off of something, success rate is always lower, espically when your competing with the name and brand recognition of the Apple Iphone. 3. consumers are still kind of confused about what it is and what is special about it, yea its touch, but what is making the touch special? follow me? the fact is that the voyager is merly a bridging phone to tide consumers over until verizon can come up with something that can do iphone features, which from most speculators standpoints will be 2-3 years. the voyager isnt a platform, just an attempt to "soften the blow" of customers looking for that iphone like device. |

Eric....I understand your points completely... Usually, though, in all the years I've been on this board, the newest craze either gets raved about or gets dumped on, yet, there were only 4 other posts on the Voyager and they were short-lived at that. Very odd to me.... |

Based on my brief visit to a VZW store, I will say some negative things about the Voyager. I went in there hoping to fall in love with it, as our state doesn't have (and probably never will) ATT/iPhone. My impressions, for whatever they're worth: 1. Unintuitive navigation, with menu items seeming fairly random in their locations. 2. A "back" arrow key that was extremely hard to press without hitting the key next to it. 3. A decidedly cheap build quality, especially for the price. |

The Voyager is a bad iPhone rip-off in some respects. In others, it's about the only iPhone-like offering outside AT&T. I'd say on a scale of one to ten, after tinkering with one myself, I'd rate it at about a seven.

Even if the combined engineering and design talents of LG/VZW aren't enough to emulate the user interface of an iPhone, at least they could have made it look and feel less cheap. Don't you think?

Well, the first thing you have to realiaze is that this is our first digital phone. We have been stuck in tri-mode hell for almost 10 years That being said...I like the feel of the phone,.the sound quality (earpiece), the keyboard, i also like the touch screen. I like the way you can text from the front of the phone using word if you choose. You can change the fonts, just all sorts of cool little things. I think you'll like it. I'm not tech savvy enough to know any tech stuff about the phone! |

I think it would be important to try it yourself. The poor build quality and confusing interface might not bother you. Or I guess you can give it a try and return it.

Jodi, I'm glad you started this thread. I've been quietly wondering the same thing myself. I also am considering the Voyager as well. I don't want another PDA phone on Verizon, so this one might do the trick.

I found this website today. http://www.wirelessinfo.com/ It has the most complete cellphone reviews I've seen, though I don't necessarily agree with all their opinions. |

Well I have had Andy's Voyager for a week now and I have to say that it is not as great as I thought it would be. Andy thinks the same. Let me tell you the one thing I hate about this phone is the voice quality it makes voices sound garbled and people tell me I dont sound that good either. But the size is something I could not get over as well I put phones in my pocket and you do notice this thing. There are good things about it though I mean the keyboard is great and the camera is wonderful. But the voice thing has me down. |

| Banned | Jodi well if I were to get a new phone right now there are a few choices for me. I would look at the venus or the 8700 just because I think all over those are great phone. Also I think the Moto W385 is wonderful on all grounds.
