I have been satisfied with this phone somewhat. Their is only this one re-occuring problem, and its mostly my fault... I dropped my phone one time (I know, I am a retard), and suddenly the reception went terrible. Everything worked perfect, but I would rarely get a signal. It was no big deal then, I went to a CS and the replaced it. Well..... I dropped it again, no more warranty, same exact problem. Is there anything that can fix this? Surely others have had this problem, too. It is weird, because it worked perfect one day, then it fell out of my pocket and the battery popped off, now their is no reception anywhere. Anybody have a clue what I am saying? I don't know what to do... Please write me at jermboy4uk@aol.com with ANY suggestions.

make sure your antenna is screwed on tight and not to out of shape... but that's all i can think of...

mine's like a tank, i drop it and kick it across pavement and its still working stronger then ever...

Some people have reported reception issues with the 6000 after dropping it...Take off your antenna and screw it back on, that's the only thing I can tell you... But, as I said, the 6000 has some kind of problem, that if you drop it hard enough, some of them will have reception issue.
Hell, my friend dropped his 6K into a bucket of water and it still works.

my 6000 had been dropped a few times and thrown once...never had an issue with it.

maybe an e-mail to LG asking if they know what would cause this?

maybe you popped antenna connection on the circuit board, if your phone is out of warranty you might as well take the back off and check it out.

exactly, just take it back, (don't tell them you dropped it) tell them you're having reception issues on it and they'll replaced it with another refurb....

Exactly, I agree with Tony. Some people even say that VZW replaced phones over a year old without problem. Give it a try, just don't tell them you dropped it.

I replaced my LG 6K about six times, not because of issues with the phone but just because i would get scratches on it....

lol. at this point i am TRYING to f*ck up my phone.... i've done everything from droping it, to throwing it, to droping and KICKING it across pavement.... and the damn thing still works like the first time.... (althought it looks banged up as shiet...)

i have insurance, and want to claim it, but im waiting for the insurance company to run out of vx6ks so they will be forced to give me the vx6100 =p

(but then that means new accessories.... )

I'd think that the insurance company has lots and lots of 6k's left over. You'd have to wait quite some time to make this claim! Don't you have to agree?? Especially since some Verizon stores are still selling them, at least in my area.

yea thats true too, but im thinking 'screw it' cos if i got the 6100 id have to get all new accessories.. new batteries, new mobile office, new everything!!

well one good thing is that your 6K charger will work with the 6100..
