Hi, Does anyone know the format for the LG5350's ringtones? I'm thinking about getting one but would like to know if I can easily upload MIDI files or some other format to the phone. Thanks. |

Any midi file will work. You want to shorten up any long midis though because your phone will only ring so long and you don't want to waste the precious space on your phone.

Can you recomend a good Midi editor to strip intros and anything after 30 seconds??? I don't like paying matrixM.com to do it. Thanks!

JoeyGrant, I've been doing a little experimentation with midis lately. The best editor I have found is one called Music Master Works 3.7 by Aspire Software. I downloaded their demo version and was mild;y surprized that even though it is locked, it has a ton of things you can do. I fiddled with it and was satisfied with how it works to shorten midis and such. You can get the demo at the following link: Music Master Works 3.74. When you click on the above link it will take you directly to the demo download page. Enjoy and consider purchasing it for between $25 & $35. I'm still playing with it to see if I can make new midis with it. |

I actually just downloaded a program called Anvil Studio. It's FREE and you can get it from download.com. You can create your own midis, truncate as need be, etc. It works really well and I'm thoroughly pleased with it. On another note, can I download a straight-up midi file onto my phone? I am having problems doing so. I have this midi that I shortened and whatnot but my phone refuses to download it (406 error). Do I need to make it into a special format (something about 8 mhz or 16bit or something like that) and if so, where can I get a program to convert that? Thanks in advance |
