| Some Useless bable I thought Id contribute: Alot of phones get hot when you talk on phone for a long period of time. The heat from the phone and the heat from your body can make the phone reach close to 80 degrees (so I've read). I havent had a phone get THAT hot though -->SeTcH<-- |

My VX10 does start to get warm after 3 to 5 minutes. Never so much it's uncomfortable. When you pack a lot of electronics into a tiny little space, there's not a lot of room to drain off the excess heat when the electrons really start flowing. For what it's worth, my junky Kyocera 2135 that I have for work starts to heat up on prolonged conversation, too, even though its much larger and should be able to drain off the heat better.

The only phone I have had that didn't get warm after extended use was my Motorola Bag phone. And that was because it was sitting on the seat of the truck and I was using the hands free and the windows were open. Basically any piece of electronic gear will get warm when you use it. In most cases the case of the phone is actually a heat sink used to dissapate the heat. I wouldn't worry to much unless it got ultra hot. |
