Default LG 4500 Vehicle Power Adapter

I read somewhere that the Belkin Power Adapter sold in Walmart for $7.44 was a good after market product for the 4500.
Well this past week I had to use it and this is what happened to me.
While the phone was turned on, after about 2 to 3 minutes, I got the message that the phone was fully charged. I only had 2 bars showing.
So I turned the phone off and tried it again, and again after 2 to 3 minutes I got the same message that the phone was fully charged.
Did I do something wrong? Or did I purchase a defective charger?
Does anyone have any recommendation, I didn't want to spend the $29.95 that Verizon charges.

What software version do you have on your phone?

This guess is probably way off, but there have been some issues with version 2...Maybe this is one that hasn't been discovered yet elsewhere..

Worst case try taking the charger back and tell them that it doesn't work, you'll hopefully either get your money back or get another charger that works.

i have the same thing
sometimes it works better in different cars
i get a better charge w/ my grand prix
then I do with my vibe using the belkin charger for the 6000 (which works for the 4500)

I was coming here to ask this exact same question.
I have the same thing happen to me everytime, it's getting really annoying.

Oh, and to whoever asked, I still have version 1.

So how are you guys and gals resolving the Vehicle Power cord problem?
Did you go out and buy the Verizon brand or are you still using the defective cord?
