Is there a way to activate a message reminder alert if you miss an incoming text, voicemail, etc? I found the 2 minute reminder but it doens't do anything.. My phone only alerts once and then never again.
To make matters worse, the front display goes off after a few minutes so the phone has to be periodically checked to see if you have any new messages.
Does anyone know 1) if there is a message reminder alert and 2) if there is a way to make the front display stay on?

You just found the ONLY shortcomings of the VX-6000

. The 2 min alert only works if the phone is in the vibrate mode, it will vibrate every 2 mins. There is no way to keep the front lights on. If I am away from my phone I just push the left side button to see if there are any missed calls.

what surprises me is that LG never came up with a software fix for that...

They fixed it with the 4500 and 7000, I am also surprised that they couldn't have adjusted this with a software update.

Here's how to make your front display stay on when you have a new message and make it beep every 2 minutes:
-Menu/4/6/4/5- Turn on 2 MIN Alert
-Menu/4/6/4/1- Low Beeps
-Menu/9/2/2/2/1- 3 Minutes
You must have the keypad volume turned on for the phone to beep every 2 minutes.
Setting the 2 min alert will make the front flash every 2 minutes, and setting the timer to 3 minutes will keep it on until you clear the display of the new voicemail message.

Hmmm sounds like an idea that works, can anyone else confirm this, my VX6000 is dead and isn't activated for me to test this out.

I tried it with my 6K. Works great for an actual "voice message" and just a "missed call".
Does it also work if you choose "Loud Beeps"?

Yes it will work with loud beeps or whatever. The main thing is make sure your keypad volume is turned on.

I had vesion 5 on mine that option didn't work.......
