Hi, Im new here, and all these terms confuse me... I just wanted to know whether I can move from my old phone into my newer phone without going to to store? How do I import the service from my old phone into the new one? Is it possible to do it myself? Old phone is a Audiovox 9100 and I am trying to transfer the service into my LG Vx4400 Service is Verizon... Thanks, appreciate any help |

yes you can, what you need to do is go into Verizon's web page and register, once you do that log on and once you get into your "account" you'll see the "activate phone" option, click on that and just follow directions. You'll need to enter the new ESN number from the 4400 usually an 11 digit number, for reason just enter "other" once you do that it will prompt you if the ESN change was successful, after that just dial *228 option 1 to program your phone... good luck!

If this doesn't work for you, you can also call VZW from a landline and they'll walk you through the process... I did this when my Alltel v60i wouldn't receive the *228 command. I called them and they switched it up for me (make sure you have the new phone's info ready such to help you with the process) |

To find your ESN, power down the phone and take off the battery, on the 4400 it will say "ESN HEX" above the bar code on the sticker.

exactly, the ESN is 11 digits and HEX is 8 digits in an alpha numeric sequence.
