Howdy - LGVX600 user and getting a bit tired of having to flip open the phone everytime I get a call. I use an earpiece 24/7 for the hands free convenience but flipping open the phone each time it rings is a drag. Flip open, any key and send only are the options for manually answering and I'm aware of the 1, 3 ring auto answer option but is there a way to program the "voice dial" key on the side of the phone for answering? The auto answer would work but I would have to constantly monitor it for specific situations...too much hassle. Phone closed, one button push for anwering would be much better. Please help. Thanks. |

As far as I know the only way to answer the phone while it's closed with an earpiece is to open the phone or use the auto answer as you described. I know that the auto-answer was the option I used with the car adapter. How would you have to "monitor it for specific situations" if you had the auto answer, it should pick up after 1, 3 rings etc.. You would just have to hear the ringer as always then insert your ear piece and wait a few seconds..

thanks for your help. it's just a pain to have to flip open the phone to answer while i'm driving or at my desk and auto answer is not always practical if i'm in a meeting, unable to hear the cell ring or am not in a position to answer it. if there's no way around it, guess i'll just have to get used to it. thanks again for your input. |

I'm almost sure there are headsets you can buy that have an answer/call termination button. Check on Verizon or LG's websites.

I know that some of the Nokia phones had earpieces with this button, but I had a earpiece I bought from VZW with my 4400 and it didn't do anything..

That's so strange, because in the back of my manual it has a headset and it says that it has an answer button....go figure. |

maybe with your 4500, but as far as the 6K goes that's a no go, unless it was fixed with a software upgrade but i haven't heard anything about...
