I've got a VX4400B...and I'd like to put my own photos/artwork in the background. Is there a way to do that without accessing the mobile web? Thanks! |

Ignore previous question, here's a new one: I got the Datapilot software/cable today. Everything installed and settled in fine. To test it, I made a quick background and wrote it to the phone. The phone received it, but shows a white screen when I go to select it as a background. Hit "save" and the background does not change from the default picture. PLUS, I am unable to erase the new picture I have just uploaded to the phone. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Cool, it's good to know someone else has the same problem, so it's not an isolated issue. Are you using USB or serial or something else? I've got Windows XP on a Gateway computer. All software is up to date (Windows, phone, Datapilot). The device manager doesn't look exactly like Datapilot says it should in their PDF manual. They seem to be pretty picky about having no cables attached to the computer when installing the software. I unplugged everything but the mouse and still no luck. Another question: What file format are the LG ringtones? I can construct ringtones easily in Datapilot, but then there are several choices of formats to export to. I tried all but the Kyocera, and they upload to the phone, but like the background pictures, it's like there is nothing there. I cannot hear them. |

I downloaded Bitpim...it works wonderfully for uploading ringers and pics! Luckily, the Datapilot USB cable worked with the Bitpim software. Datapilot is JUNK. It's got decent ringer and image editing software; otherwise it's just troublesome and frustrating. Plus tech support is non-responsive. |
