Can I send/recieve pictures to/on the VX-4400

Verizon said I cannot send pictures to my phone, because it is not a "picture phone." Well, I can transfer pictures to the phone via my data cable with BitPim, and they view just fine.

What is the difference between a "picture phone" and my phone? I realize I cannot take pitures with my phone, but I know I can view them, so why can't I open them as an attachment on my phone?

When I send a picture to mynumber@vzwpix.com I get a message telling me to view it at www.vzwpix.com/mlib/getpix/

When I send a picture to mynumber@vtext.com I get the text message and I can see the attachment it there, but when I select <actions> <save object> I get a message theat says "This service is not available at this time." What gives?

I don't think the VX4400 is capable of downloading images other than from GIN (or BitPim). The phone doesn't have the necessary software to download from a text message as far as I know.

That is correct Anthro, the only way is thru GIN or Bitpim, the 4400 does not support pix messaging which is another reason why some choose the LG 6000 which is on sale BTW $79 after rebates, not that i want to promote any sales or anything.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
