Default vx6000 problem

I'm having some odd problems with one of my vx6000's I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out with.

I'm getting a lot of calls that only seem to half-connect(only the person on the other end can hear anything). It's happening pretty frequently since before new years. I gave it some time thinking the system is just having some general problems but it's been long enough now, I'm starting to think it may be the phone itself. It happens every now and then even on another handset tho, but is not very often at all. Is this is system problem or possibly a faulty phone because of how frequent it is(a few times a day at minimum).

The other problem I'm having is with txt messaging. The same handset mentioned above is having problems sending then recieving messages(sent messages sometimes just show up late by a day or so) from other carriers(Sprint and T-Mobile mostly). Another odd problem I'm not sure if it's the actual handset or not. This problem never came up until recently when I changed my local numbers/area. The messaging still seems to work just fine between 2 phones on the share plan, but not other companies. I've tried even adding the area code and still nothing. I haven't had a chance to test the 2nd handset yet more then it didn't receive a message from T-Mobile that it should've, but it seems again like it may not be the handset itself.

I've contacted customer service on both these issues with not help other then I can go get the phone exchanged. It's a brand new phone as it is so I really wanted to check about it before I just go get another. Any help is appreciated!

some 6k's had an issue with the base of the antenna making them drop calls consistently, that could be one of your problems, for that you can either swapped your phone fro another one or have them replaced the antenna.
because you are receiving messages that come from networks other than Verizon's sometimes there's a delay on transmission of text messages, though if you're consistently having that problem i would call C/S and have them reset you message settings on their end.

Yeah, already traded out 2 phones because of the bad antenna connection problem. This doesn't seem the same, it's still showing a strong signal.
I'll give CS a call and have them reset, I've never even heard of anything like that. Hopefully that does the trick.

my 4400 lags when sending text messages to cingular, i don't know if this can be corrected but i've just learned to live with it. the lag can be as much as 40 minutes, any idea how long it takes yours to get delivered?

Tony, no problem, you're always a help

axv, they seem to disappear. I know one was delayed about a day, but the rest are gone. After digging some more, it seems most of the people receiving these messages are on Sprint. From the looks of it, Sprint may be having a problem themselves and it's not actually my phone(my wife's boss sent out a message to 14 people today, the only one that recieved was another Sprint user). I didn't find that out until about an hour ago, so hopefully something that'll get fixed pretty soon. I'm really not sure what's going on with Sprint right now, I'll probably take it over to the regional forums if it persists(I don't know if there's any Sprint users here, seems like the LG's are more for Verizon).

Default vx6000 problem

i sent myself a message from my Sprint phone, no dice, i'm still waiting, so yes it's probably a network fix on Sprint's behalf.

Good deal(well, sorta, at least there's a good chance there's nothing wrong with the phone anyway).

i don't think it's your phone, you should test it with another Verizon phone, have them send you a text.

i would have your message settings reset on Verizon's end just to be sure, it shouldn't take that long even if the message originated from another network.
