Default LG4050 IR Phone to Phone Comms?

I don't have both phones with me right now, or I'd perform a little trial and error.

I know the IR port is meant for data/fax, but I was wondering if it might be possible to send graphics, ringtones, etc., I download with my phone, to the wife's phone?

Thanks!

Ron

perform the trial n error and let us know how it went, if you see a little smoke coming out of your phones i would unplug if i was you. j/k

it's possible, when phones are flashed with new software they can sometimes transfer your ringtones and games and of course the phonebook, so it could work.

IR port is only for the phone to PC using the software. I've tried that and it did not work.

Thanks Alex!

I never did get around to trial and error.

Been busy as all get out after the holidays.

We're Pay Per Use Internet with Cingular & not signed up for MMS, so it woulda been great if the phones coulda talked to each other via the IR port.
