I just got version 10 today...and I've searched the WAP posts...put in the IP and Port as told...then while trying to change the homepage...or even opening "coolsites" with the default home page, it gives me errors...whats the deal?

are you sure your WAP was working before your phone was flashed?

it's always possible that they got tired of people getting it for free, maybe they found a "fix" for it.

Well, yes Wildrice worked just fine....but I got a new phone today when I went in to get it flashed, because they said there was an error inside of it that couldnt be fixed. So here I am with my version 10, went back to the same thing I always did, and to no avail. Does anyone know how else I can get into it beside the IP and Port mentioned here many months back?

really.....that could explain things...ha, i haven't tried to get on it since like October...I just assumed it was the softwear version..

So..do I still use:
IP: 207.232.99.109
Port: 9201

Or is there something else...let me know...thanks

try this one, keep in mind that Wildrice is down but you can still access others.

I've got an idea, Mr. H!

Ver. 10 uses 1x over GIN AND over WAP, so if you don't have EN MOU or NA MOU on your account, that's why it isn't working. Try GIN and let us know if that works for you. If not, you need to call CS and tell them that you just got your 4400 flashed to the lastest firmware and that NationalAccess needs to be added to your account in order to be able to access GIN. They will definitely add it to your account free of charge (ie they want your money from GIN apps). Just a thought... I had the same prob when I went from my T720 to T730 (shudder) [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

Well..get it now worked...sometimes....i got messages saying "try again later" a few times...but i still made it work for the most part. I'm not familiar with that national access thing Where would I find info about that?

not annoying at all... I just think this might be a new one to us all. I've never gotten that message on my phone. Call CS and ask them if NationalAccess is enabled on your account. It HAS to be for us to make 1x connections, which are required for ver. 10 firmwares and up on our phone in order to access GIN and WAP.

Ya...I got an ESPN thing to load when I entered it as my home page...waptunnel and tagtag didn't work for me for whatever reason....now im trying to figure out how to get to a site like news without changing the homepage....im real dumb with this whole thing, ha

no not at all, just a little confused because you say WAP is not working but yet you are using ESPN.

i actually used the 207.232.99.109 and port 9201 to get into ESPN....I also got into google....Waptunnel and tagtag however wouldnt work.....so i have no clue what the heck is going on. Oh well, ha.

while i have not triep using WAP, i have had the "try again later" message from GIN before several times. all i had to do was wait a few hours and whatever was causing it not to work got fixed. CS said it was a network issue and nothing was wrong with my handset.

GIN has nothing to do with WAP.
