Default VX 6000 Data Cable Help LG 1200 Cable

Here is a thread I just posted to HowarForums. You might want to check it out. There is a lot on this subject.

Briefly you want to make sure the correct USB driver is installed from future dial. I assume you are using the lg1200 cable. Set up a standard modem on your PC. I am using 33.6. Note the Port it is usually com 4 or 5. set the speed on both the modem (PC) and phone to 115K. Also set your phone data Menu 9, 6 to RS232. The default is USB and the phone reverts back to it everytime you turn it back onWhat can and can you not do with LG 6000 and Bitpim with lg 1200 cable?
=================

I was able to remove the Verizon banner by editing the ERI file. I can us the phone as a modem on the VZW express network at a speed of 42K (did a speed test).

I can't access the phone data . When I click on Get Data, the Bitpim starts to pull in the data and I can see it pulling in my contact list but then the transfer stops with an executable error. Anyone have this problem and any suggestions?

I am wondering how pictures can be transferred from the my computer to the phone?

Easy, just email them to yourself. Example, right click on a picture saved to your hard disk in Windows, choose Send To, Mail Recipient. This shoudl launch your default email aaplication and attach the picture file, .JPEG, to the email. Now all you have to do is type your MTN@vzwpix.com in the TO: box and send it, MTN is your phone number, example, 8085551212@vzwpix.com. That's it! You will see an alert on your VX6000 stating you are receiving a picture message. To save the picture, just view the picture message, left softkey to select options, #3 Save Pix, and give it a name. The picture is now saved under Menu> 7 My Media> 1 Graphics> It will be here as whatever you named it, and you can select options again to set as your wallpaper.

I love this phone, best color display out there! 262k baby!
