Hi,

First -

I have the mobile web feature with VZ. When I try to connect to the web, it trys to enable my security. And then, it says my security key is not recongnized.

What is the settings for the mobile web?

Second -

Is there way to remove "Verizon Wireless" banner on the VX4400? It blocks the wallpaper pictures.

Thanks,
MinnWisc

first - im not sure about verizons mobile web because i modified mine so its free

second - you need the data cable and bitpim. after you have that you need to access the filesystem. click on filesystem, then view filesystem. click the plus sign. now you need to get a windows hex editor. I prefer winhex. after you have gotten winhex you can now go back to bitpim and find the eri.bin file. right click on it and click save. now open winhex and open eri.bin on the right hand side of the screen you will see the words verizon wireless, extended network, roam, ect...erase the 2 verizon wirelesses. DO NOT ERASE THE LETTER A AND B. just the words verizon wireless. save it as something else like eri2.bin now go back to bitpim and right click on eri.bin go to overwrite and now select your modified eri2.bin it will now overwrite the file and afer it does you can unplug the phone turn it off then back on and voila your banner is gone.

For wireless web, make sure they actually added the service to the account. Sometimes they have pending items on your account and sometimes it takes a while for the feature to take effect. If everything is okay on the account, call 1-800-308-data and have them check out your wireless web stuff. :-)
