Does anyone know how to stop this button from automatically sending the phone into vibrate? I keep my phone in my purse, and if something pushes up against the side of the phone, it goes into vibrate mode with no warning, and I end up missing my calls.

The outer button cycles the phone thru normal, silent and Vib mode. However, when the phone is closed the button only activate the outer lcd light, unless you hold it down for 2 sec. Your purse must be jam-packed!

Yes my purse is jam packed, but that still doesn't answer the question. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable this function/button?

no there is no way to disable the function from the vx4400.
