problems with 4400 and car charger

I recently bought an LG 4400 and car charger accessory at a Verizon store. When using the phone while the car charger is attached, it frequently beeps and flashes "change battery" on the screen. Also, it sometimes will come up with "charging complete" after being connected only a minute or two. Unplugging and plugging back in seems to fix this. The first issue is more of a problem as it is very annoying, it does it every minute or so. I also bought an extended battery and the problem persists so I've eliminated the battery as the problem. Is this likely a phone issue or a charger issue? I'm hoping I don't need to exchange the phone as I have a lot of info already programmed.

i would try to change the car charger first to see if its that. If it continues you know that it is the phone. However most of the information on the phone can be transferred y verizon or if you use bitpim you can transfer it at home.

"Charging Complete" is a known problem. You can ignore it and the phone keeps charging or push the end key or up/down volume keys.

Don't know about the "change battery" message.

If you use the LG model car charger (For the VX4400 not for the TM510/VX1 model), you don't see that error message. It is not a phone problem it is a car charger. I went thru 3 diff kind charger until I found the correct charger. However, as others expalined. charging completed is harmless just annoying.
