I just read elsewhere that if you click the animation you are taken to a link where you can purchase the phone. I have not tried it though.

VX 6000 Tip: I was advised at training to plan on buying an extended life battery if you are getting this phone. Also: I know we try to keep our identities secret and all, especially since we looove to chat about the infamous v60p.....but I notice several of the regular posters on here mention Columbus Ohio and Toledo. I am wondering if I know some of you....maybe even work for the same company!! If you work 4 corporate at Easton, or non corp in Toledo area, I may know you or you may know me. ....Listening to Voice Mail....sounds like the 6000 is going for $200 w/ a $50 rebate. Sweet! |

I'm just a former customer. But I will say of the 4 Verizon stores I have visited in Columbus (Henderson, Easton, Brice, and Polaris), Easton was the only location where I received consistently good service. Brice Rd should just be closed as that operation is such a sham....

| Now that it is here I am thinking..... I for one am NOT going to run out the door screaming to buy this phone. Why?? Yeah it's cool and all, but did you see the battery life?? It's like a T720 or a Audiovox 9500. Boo! Hiss! And how often will I actually use the camera? I am sticking with the A530 with it's nuclear powered battery (half-life of 250 years) until the Moto V60P comes out....Or maybe the A690.... Then maybe I'll get exited. However....I haven't actually played with it yet......God make me strong! I.....don't.....need......a.....camera....phone! whew! |

I have a camera phone...and I have used the camera 3 times in 2 months. lol. It is very pointless. What is the rated battery life accoridng to Verizon? Only 9 minutes? I can't open the VX6000 link because of the cookie setting on my browser...I hate how Verizon's site is actually more like 10 different domains and you have to guess at them to override cookie settings (to pay my bill I needed airtouch.com!). I actually like buying an extra battery for my phones anyway...and I found with my Sanyo the phone actually has a better weight and is more comfortable with the extended battery than with the standard battery. I don't like my phones to weigh 2.5 ounces...I like to actually be able to feel what I am using!

Battery life is supposedly 130 min usage. Translate that into real time and it equals about a hour and 20 minutes tops before you hit the dreaded last bar on your battery meter. I have been getting spoiled on my a530....I have not yet seen the battery meter go off of full. BTW....you are dead on about the Columbus stores...Easton is tops at helping people with customer service. I guess since I know about how much those guys in that store make a year, it makes sense that they are cool when you come in. They get over 8000 people in that store a month! |

AnthroMatt.....just out of curiosity....why on God's green earth did you switch from VZW to Sprint? That's a move that I rarely (If ever) see! I always thought they should change their name form "Sprint" to "Slow jog" or "Fast Walk".

Oh, a bunch of reasons. Repeated incorrect billing, failure to support a phone I purchase in Florida (at a Verizon store) because that model was never sold in Ohio, lies. Check out this and this.

That's too bad. Wish you woulda ran into me. I have about a 95% success ratio at getting problems fixed with Customer Care. I bet I could have won your case. You can stop by some time and say hi if you can solve the riddle of my location. Not a small XXXX / Not on the XXXX / Not a XXXX Not on the 1st XXXX / Or even the XXXX Can you get it?? |

Hmmmm.....I thought that would be easy. How bout this: The base location is the same as XXXXXX The first 3 parts of the riddle XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I give any more away I'll have to change my screen name!! I won't be able to chat about the V60P! My life will be over! (well maybe not) |

Nope, I can't delete anything because I am not a moderator in the LG forum. You can however go back and edit your posts...just delete what you don't want to have up.

Im so excited, that I called verizon and asked if there was any way I could qualify to get it now/renew agreement now, 2 months early. Nope, I knew that but was hopeful. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait til that 11th day of September.

I just went to store and picked mine up! After a nice hour of transfering my phone book, i am partially up and running. The camera works fine, but there is something up with my phone and its authentication to the express network. On the phone with *611 now, and they are gonna have to call me back once it is fixed. FYI incase you guys didnt know, but when sending a pic message, it uses one of your "messages" plus airtime. Basically they are piggy backing their data network to "FTP" the pic to their servers. Ill post more once it gets working!

Are you saying that your renewal date is september 11 and they wouldn't let you upgrade?? Try back on July 11th. They will let you upgrade your phone 22 months into your agreement...in other words, 2 months early. If someone tells you otherwise they are wrong. Hang up and call back and get someone else. |

just got back from da store... yea, i don't have a car. so i bummed a ride from a friend (i had to buy him lunch). but... i will say this... it was worth it! okay, the phone looks slick as hell. sexy even. the self portrait mirror thing is pretty nice... although, it's kinda hard to judge it. but, i can't really be picky about that. the nice thing with the camera phone is, yes.. you may not use it all that much, but there are so many options to use when taking a picture. it does a normal color mode, antique mode, it even takes friggin black and white pictures!!! i love photography, and i don't know of many other camera phones this small that can take a b&w picture with as good a resolution as the 6000. take the camera feature in stride. you may not use it alot, but when you want to it will be there and dependable. the ringers kinda blow... but, as soon as they come out with the damn usb cable... no more. they got a few ringers that will get annoying pretty quick, but it'll hold you over i suppose. and if anything, just put in on vibrate. let's see... other things... do do do... ummm.... the organic led on the front of the phone is really nice, bright, and useful. it scrolls the time, date, etc across it so you don't have to fiddle around with any buttons or anything. the menus are nice and easy to navigate. when it comes out of the box the menu is listed as icons... but you can change that to a regular list. it's a little easier that way. other than that... this phone is pretty much top notch. i got a pretty sweet deal too. i got to keep my plan which is like some 6000 daytime minutes (it helps to complain alot and unlimited night and weekend. they're also doing unlimited picture messaging for $2.99 a month for a year. after that it's an incredibly high rate of $.25 per picture send. the phone itself costs $199 for a 2 year contract and $229 for a 1 year. both with a $50 mail in rebate. i'd go with the 1 year. two years is way too long... and besides... there will be way cooler stuff out in a couple months anyways. have fun with it! |

Someone mentioned that they went to the local Verizon store and for whatever reason they did not have it in yet. Mt question is this: Is the store you went to a Corporate store or an AUTHORIZED AGENT?? The Corp stores should have it. The agents probably wont get it in till the weekend/early next week.
