    Default dropped my 4500

dropped my third 4500 for the 2nd time today
-never dropped the first 2 i had..
anyway it added some small character marks on the phone
but at least it seems to be shedding that damn shiny slippery feel
anybody else sick of these slippery suckers.

remember the old sony/qualcomm phones with the wheel on the side
they were bigger, but the wheel was the best and when it dropped off of a
bridge, the damn thing still worked
come to think of it, that phone was stubborn cause it never gave me problems- and it never would die....just kept going

sorry had to remember the old days (about 6 yrs ago) for a second there

i've replaced my 6k six times, everytime i drop it and get scratches on it i go to Verizonicon to get it swapped for another one, of course you're not going to say that's the reason you want it swapped though........

I always use a carrying case. Helps prevent scratches and gives you a better grip on the phone.

I think that my 3589 even looks nicer. I think that this Nokia model is rather plain looking.

ok.. i kicked the living crap outa my 7000 today.. and needless to say.. im not pleased i was so pissed at myself all day long... nothing happened to it... except now everytime i open or close the flap theres like a slight vibration. ITS EXTREMELY annoying, and bothers the hell outa me. Its taken the "new phone magic" completely away.. What can i tell the Verizonicon people to make them gimme a new phone? and i ordered it online.. will that make a difference?

Going back to what bighairymonkee says....what do you tell them to get them to swap it out? I'm sure they won't just give you a new one because it is almost out of warranty?

If you are within 15 days, you can just exchange it for a new one. Tell them that it vibrates, when you open it.

Within 1 year, tell them the same, they will give you a refurb, it looks like new and may even work better.

I am sure you can just return the old one to a Corporate Store.

So i go across the street to my Verizonicon store (even though the phone was purchased online from Verizon Wirelessicon, i got it 2-3 days ago), and tell them "it shudders when it opens"... theyll gimme a completely new phone? Should i bring all the packaging with it?

I always use a cover too...but Rich you can get covers for these.
I have a couple of the glow in the dark covers... I have the one black one with a web on it (spider something)... if you can find the keypad style (mine didn't come with keypad)... keypads I think you can get pretty easy...

I just have to find that style of keypad. I have the flashing active covers...those are great! they keypad though doesn't go with the other style of faceplate.
If you dress it up a little bit....it looks good
