I bought a new Samsung A 530 recently and have text messaged my friend but when the message gets to her handset it's all jumbled and unreadable. Her messages, and other people's messages come up fine on my phone, and my messages come out fine on other models of phones, just not on her LG 4400, anyone have any ideas? And the service we're using is Verizon National coverage.

Take the phone to Verizin retail store and have them to install the 06 version software. That should fix this problem. Also, remember the VX4400 can't receive any attachements at this moment.

I had the same problem with my a530 and two 4400s in the family. I replaced the a530 and it worked fine when new, but started to do the same thing after I had stored phone numbers in the memory. Verizon could not help me, so I called Samsung and got to Level 2 support. They suggested resetting the phone. Go through the menu to setup, then security, then put in your code (the default, unless you've changed it, is the last four digits of your phone number. Option 7 is reset your phone. It will not delete your directory or voice dial entries, but you will have to reset your other settings and preferences. So far, it has solved my problem.

Another work around is to set up vtext accounts for anyone you know is on a 4400. If you send the text message to their vtext email account (details available from your Verizon store), you will find that there is no garbling of the message.
