PRL download?

Is it possible to manually download an older prl to my 4400 using a program like Bitpim? Curious...

Well I would if I knew it were possible (and if I had the prl). The newest PRL took away part of my service in a certain area, where I have been going to extended network on sprint. PRL 50001 was the good one, the newest 50085 took away sprint, now i have random verizon service...Thats the only reason.

If all else fails call the good guys at verizon customer service maybe they know

I just confirmed, this is possible, with bitpim. I pulled the prl files from my girlfriend's 4400 (she has 50001) and I have 50085. There were 2 files that I overwrote a file called prl_0000 and prl_0001. They are both the same name on both phones despite the different versions. Pretty simple, if anyone needs instructions on how to do this, let me know.

it stems from a verizon problem indoors of my girlfriend's house. Up until mid may everything worked fine with the verizon signal, good 3-4 bars of service in the basement. Then something broke somewhere on the tower, and the phone switched to extended network, sprint pcs. Verizon never fixed the issue and I was on extended network in her house. Then they had me update my prl, which I didnt know at the time removed sprint pcs as a roaming partner for my home area. So, luckily my gf was still on the working prl 50001, so she could still get sprint. I just got random verizon signals in her house (every place else it worked fine). So I decided to try to pull her prl files from her phone and see if i could get back to 50001 until the tower issue was fixed, which worked, so now I can use my phone in her house. I even try to update my prl to be sure I still could do it over *228 and it worked fine.

This is great! I went to the verizon store and they changed my PRL to one where I can get sprint in my home area (usually I'd have 1 or 2 bar analog). My friends used to have this PRL a while back and they had sprint. Then one day they got a text message from verizon saying that there was a great new update that would improve coverage. When they got the update, they lost sprint. Now I have sprint, and If I got a data cable I could give them the PRL.
