Default Stubby antenna on LG VX4400?

Has anyone found and tried to find a suitable replacement for the retractable antenna? I know that CDMA phones operate over a range of frequencies, so it's difficult to calculate exactly the optimum length of the antena will be. However, my signal strength is very good and I'm willing to sacrifice a little signal to get the darn phone to fit in a tight pocket in my briefcase.

The samsung R225 antennas fit the vx4400.

You can look here for some stub ones.

There's a pretty long thread over in hofo.

I'm debating one myself. Someone just got theirs and is going to report back after he travels to a normally troublesome area this weekend.
