Can anyone help me? The alarms I had set on my vx4500 for events I had scheduled for today suddenly stopped sounding at their designated times. I had a total of four events scheduled for July 6th. The first two events had their alarms sound right on time. However, the two events later in the day passed by with no alarms going off! I then tried setting test events with alarms to go off at the exact time, 5 minutes before, with a different ringtone...all with no luck. It seems that no event alarms sound now. I have checked, double checked and triple checked to make sure that all my sound settings are not set to silent, no manner mode on, and no driving mode on. I know the speaker is not blown because it still works for everything else. I tried the regular alarm clock functions (setting a time and quick alarm) and they work fine. The clock is reading correctly. I've never dropped it, submerged it in water, driven the car over it.....nothing out of the ordinary! In fact, it simply sat on my desk the whole day, as usual. What could it be? I've had the phone for about a month now and have successfully used the scheduler alarm feature every day up until today!!! I really need this feature. Is there something I'm missing? Has this happened to anyone else? Has my phone just given out? (which seems strange for a software style glitch to just happen a month into normal use). Speaking of software, I have version 1 of the firmware and have not tried to upgrade it, so I can't attribute it to something getting fried from an upgrade. This seems very strange. I waited two years to upgrade out of my alarm-buggy Motorola v60c to a phone with a reliable scheduler and alarms. I really have enjoyed my vx4500, but is LG failing me now? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

if you are using custom mp3 ringtones, then you have to upload them again to the phone this happened to me- it got screwed up when i upgraded the software, but now I am back on v1 and it works great

I'm not using any custom ringtones (in fact, I don't have any on the phone). I guess I could try removing the battery. I know I've read posts that have mentioned that this has reset some things. I don't know how or why it would work for this, but I guess it's worth a shot....I'm desperate!
