I can't get the one touch (to answer and terminate call) headset to function properly with my VX4400. It is an original LG branded headset as well. The button on the headset does nothing...doesn't answer the call, doesn't terminate the call. I've also tried 3-4 different other brands, but with the same result. Is it my phone? Isn't the 4400 suppose to support this feature?

Unfortunately, the VX4400 does NOT support this feature.

I haven't used my headset in a min...but with it in you have to use "autoanswer". You can set it to 1, 3 rings. After the call is over that person has to hang up to terminate call (unless you have the phone open).

Not that I wish to pick an argument with a former Marine, mrnyc01's suggestion works with any headset while koohead's questions was about using the specific features of the LG headset. From what I understand, the other respondents are correct that the VX4400 will not support the answer/drop call button on LG's own headset (it's a hardware issue: the headset jack only supports a mic and an earpiece wire). I think the best we can hope for is that in a future software upgrade, LG will allow us to use the side buttons to answer or hang up a call. To sum up, I don't think there's any special reason to invest in the LG headset when any will do just as well (and without the premium price). |

Seems like it was pretty worthless for me to buy the LG branded headset. Oh well. My loss is their gain (as usual). Thanks for the quick response...appreciate the help |
