Default VX-10: can you ignore an incoming call?

Is it possible to ignore an incoming call on the vx10? For instance, when you see a call coming in that you want to send to voicemail, can you hit a button to do that? Also, if such a function exists, does the caller still hear all the rings, or does the voicemail message pick up right away?

If the phone is ringing, or vibrating, and closed, you can press any of the side buttons once to "silence" the phone. It still rings on the other end, but the VX-10 just shows there's an incoming call on the LCD but wont ring or vibrate.

If you press the side keys a second time - the call goes immediatley into voicemail.

Does that help?

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

Until now, I've been a lifelong Nokia user - so moving to the LG was a big step. The user interface I don't think is as nearly as good as Nokia's, but they've done an decent job making it concise, easy to navigate, and intuitive.

It defentiley gets great reception, the earpiece volume is quite loud, the loudest phone I've ever owned, actually, and the call clarity is good.

My only complaints are: I personally think the sound quality is a little "thin" - its clear and strong, but it seems to be lacking in the highs and lows, like setting you EQ on your stereo so the middle freq. are maxed and the bass and trebel are negated. Its not horrible, just not ideal - IMO. This could be a result of the CDMA Codec - but I haven't experineced this on other CDMA phone's I've used.

The phone also doesn't open up quite far enough for me to press it comfortably flush against my ear and cheeck. Maybe my head is too big or mishapen? This is acutally a mixed blessing, because the phone also gets a bit warm, so having it pressed right up against my face might get uncomfortable after a while.

There are a few other quirky things, but for the money - its a great clamshell-type phone!

Spanky, I have the same opinion... I experienced a weird "break in" period when my reception was horrible. After about a week, it was as good if not better than my Nokia 5165. The one thing that really bugs me about it is that there's no easy way to access voicemail...No voice autodial. There seems to be some sort of weird callback number, but that hasen't done anything. I live being able to force analog, and A/B switch while roaming. Even if my phone roams on verizon as preferred, I can first force my phone into analog, then select either a or B...It's awsome! First time I've owned a connected phone that could do that!
