Does the cable from Radio Shack (the one thats 19.99) work for this bitpim program, and if so, does it come w/ drivers, etc, or do I (or where can I) get those drivers.

yes it does work with the vx4400. I just got it and used the Prolific drivers from some forum, sorry I cant remember which one. If not you can download drivers from futuredial.com. The bitpim program is real easy to use and saves time. It works.

Yes it does.

I downloaded the drivers from the "files" section of the VX4400 group at Yahoo http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LG_VX4400/files

I got the part#17-783 19.99 cable from radio shack its just the usb cable and you get the drivers from futuredial.com it was simple i already got my phone fully customized [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
It works well with both bitpim and gagin.

I found the drivers for the radio shack cable. There are two files in the WIN2K folder:

ser2pl.sys
SERWPL.INF

What do I do with them? There is no explanation in the file at all...

Restart your PC with the equipment plugged in. You should get the "found new hardware" wizard. Just point to that directory.

Thanks! At least that tells me why things aren't working. I'm not getting the new hardware dialog at startup...

ok, I finally got BitPIM to work with the radioshack cable.... but I can only get one image downloaded for some reason. It shows its downloading all the pictures I dragged into the program, but when I check the phone, only one is in the downloaded area.

Any Ideas?
