The item# is 17-916. When I plugged it in, the phone was originally showing one bar on the battery. Within 2 seconds, the phone flashed on saying it was fully charged. Upon unplugging it, the phone went back to the one bar. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if I need to return the charger for a different one.

The charging circuitry in the handsfree kit is not correct therefore the phone will read the voltage level higher. As far as I know, the HFK is still in VZW testing. Radio Shack sold you a HFK product for other LG models even though the I/O connector is the same for all LG phones, each phone reacts differently. In yor case the VX4400 will show charging complete.

new items! i have it and it works! speaker sounds alot better than original kit, and it charges the phone the way it's supposed to! the kit is sold in 3 different sku's. here goes....
