Help!! Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find it anywhere.. Text messaging..how do I do it?! I have never done it before and I have the access setup on my phone for it, but I am clueless to where to go. If anyone can give me a breakdown or a link to go to that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again..

I will assume you have the vx 4400. If the person you wish to send a text message is in your address book, go to your address book, highlight the phone number, hit right soft key (actions), select 2 (send messsage), scroll down to Message <OK>. you may type up to 160 characters, I believe. Using your left soft key, you may select between ABC, T9, 123 etc for sending your message.

Now, if the person is not in the address book, go to menu 3, select item 2 (send new) enter phone number then enter message.

Good luck.

Has anyone noticed when u are texting fast, the 4400 cn fall behind. For instance to type SLAP, I will hit the 7 key 4 times quickly then hit the 5 key for l, but it will stop the other function when i hit the other key. So i end up with like R instaead of S, only sometimes though

is there a way to set T9 as the default whenever you go to write a text message?
