Default LG PC Sync Software

I've found the LG download site for their EZ-Sync, Screen and Ringer editors.

The link is from the Korean site, and as expected, the software is all in Korean.
You can load the asian font back for Windows XP and see all the characters.

Perhaps if there is someone who reads Korean, they can translate, and also determine
if this software will work with any of the phones marketed in the US.

You will probably need the USB cable instead of the USB-Serial cable that I have.
I don't think the software saw my phone.

Anyway .. the download is free. Please post any results to this thread.
The other editors can be had from the selection boxes on the left side of the page. (watch your status bar at the bottom of IE as you mouse over them !)

I downloaded the software. It does not have a D/L programm for the US model phones. I talked to one of my Korean co-worker. He said it is a very nice software. You can download and compose ring tones to the phone, Sync, download Themes and images.
I noticed it does support the VX9000 model. The new upcoming Verizon phone.

Thanks Alex,

I wonder if it could be adapted by selecting one of the similar phones ?

Perhaps we should be putting pressure on LG in the US to come up with the software for this market;
especially since it's free in Korea.

I wish I could get a translated copy.. it'd be worth hacking around a bit.
I'd love to get the API for the phone too.. but it seems that they don't want to provide this stuff.

Mikeby,

If you're making ringtones for an LG 5350, any MIDI editor should do. The free Anvil Studio is a decent program (www.AnvilStudio.com). For voice ringers the free Qualcomm PureVoice convert can create the necessary QCP files form WAV files. And for screen savers (non-animated) any image creation software that produces PNG or JPG will work. Granted, these aren't a single integrated solution like the one you found, but they are decent stop-gaps.

Thanks, yes I'm aware of that. The primary usefulness of this software package is that you can sync the phone with it.
I'm mostly interested in being able to full back up and restore the data and files from the phone.
Being able to enter phone numbers on something other than the phone's keypad would be nice too.
I was hoping that the software will work with the 5350 even though the korean sites only list the models for sale there.
In any case, LG should do something to make this package available to the US market.

You probably want to look at a different thread.
If you have the driver for the serial cable, you should be able to add your phone as a modem after loading the sprint dialer.
Then just add a dial-up network connection to your network configuration. Set all the baud rates the same (115k) and away you go.
Sprint vision dial code is #777

Sorry, I misunderstood your goal. I guess you've looked at FutureDial's SnapSync; or DataPilot's sync product? Both claim LG5350 support for phone book synchronization, and DataPilot offers cell phone backup as well.

I've looked at both.
I have the FutureDial software.. it's going back to RS.
They don't support the 5350 yet.. and the status has been that way for months.
There's indication they may come out with a multimedia software that does what I need,
but it won't be the same.. and so far no word from them.

I got a trial of the DataPilot software, and it only works on the phone book.
It also does not support all the fields that I need, such as the custom ringer entry and speed dial and voice dial entries
for my phone book.

So far, I havn't found anybody's software that will really do the trick. The LG software from Korea was
a stretch.

I checked out the website. The program is for synchronizing phone book or other personal information between the PC and celluar phone. It doesn't say anything about downloading ringtones or wallpapers.

I will try to look for Korean website that we can use to download ringtones and other stuff.

Yoony,
Thanks,
The Korean software seems to also have a ring editor and a picture editor...

The point of this thread is that I'm looking for software to backup both the phone book/contents and
also the other data on the phone. So far, I haven't found anything that does a good job at all.. even all the
phone book options (like voice dial and speed dial #'s, etc)
As far as downloading ringers, I can pull them over the air... it's backing them up that I'm interested in.. so
if I buy a ringer or image, I won't lose it.

There is a freeware program called BitPim. It works on alot of LG phones, Some Motorola, And a couple other brands cell phones. Although the contacts are not saved on the PC or synced with another program.

Question Re: LG PC Sync Software

It seems even the Korean site is no longer available. Any word from LG as to when a US version will be available?
