Low signal all the time, extremely poor battery life. The wife took it to the Verizon store and they said bad transciever, $50 to fix. Is that most likely what the problem is or is this something that a OTA reprogram of firmware upgrade will fix? Can I fix this myself for free somehow??? |

I assume the phone is over a year old, correct? Do you have insurance on it? They most likely already tried to updata the software, that's the first thing they do when there's a problem with a phone. |

You could try to nicely ask the rep if he would allow you to upgrade early. If he says no, ask to speak to a manager, or try customer service(they are usually better at doing early upgrades). I just reread your first post in which you mention poor battery life and poor reception. Seems like something inside the phone has fried or is broken, like the rep told you.
