Hi All, Well to make a long story short, I read this thread yesterday, and was anxious to try the free WAP you all were talking about. I paid special attention to the one that said it would be a good idea to write down the old settings just in case the new settings didn't work. BUT...I started messing around in the setup before I actually figured out how to navigate the menus. This lack of knowledge resulted in my clearing my WAP settings before I had written them down. That was my first mistake. I tried a couple of the settings that were listed, but they didn't work. Uhhh...did I mention I have a VX4500??? Well, that was my second mistake. I didn't read ALL the posts I should have read, especially the one that says the 4500 will not work with the free settings. So, what I need if anyone can help, are the settings for Verizon's WAP/IP, and maybe the port, (I am not sure the port was different than the one I entered). Can anyone here help me? Or do I need to ask this in one of the regional forums? Is the reason that the free WAP's won't work due to the LXL Port setting? That is what I found on the MobileWeb4U website. I guess there is absolutely no way around this. Thanks, Jim

I got my VX4500 to work by using the info from this thread. www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/322008-1.html The software is only a 30 day trial. I am behind a firewall, and I just had to forward port 9201 to the server (WIN98) that is running the Now.Wap software.

my phone keeps saying Internet Service is not Enabled after I go in to the browser. Is there some way that I tell the phone to use the new IP/port that I enetered? How free is this too, I gather from previous posts that it is only minutes used.
