Does anyone know if it's normal for the exterior light on a VX3200 with Alltel to slowly blink green every few seconds? My brother, a cell phone novice, just signed up, and I told him I've never had a phone that did that. There are no messages in his voice or text areas; we've tried clearing all that out. We've also noticed that when the phone is charging, no indicator lights--except the same, throbbing green. Every phone I've ever had lights red when charging, with the light either going out or turning green when full charge is reached. He took it back to the Alltel store, and they just swapped him into another VX3200--and it's doing the same thing! (Blinking green ALL the time.) I sure would appreciate any ideas. I've never had Alltel, or an LG.

Some of these lights will be green when you are picking up a home network signal, yellow for roaming area's and red when there is no signal at all. I am not familiar with the LG so I can't say for sure if it follows this color code, and it could be just green for a signal and red for no signal.

Thanks all, for the info. You would think the tech behind the counter at the Alltel store would know this stuff! I've noticed the same thing with Verizon Wireless in the past; they all seem to just wanna try swapping out the phone first, no matter what! (Where do all those "broken" phones go...? Hmmm...
