Hello, just joined 'cause I had a few questions and also have used the board as a resource for various reviews/problems. I just got an LG vx3300 (upgrade of 3200). Great basic phone. Before the problem, guess I should ask: Can a Motorola v60 handsfree earpiece/mic be used with this phone? It fits and it works, but I was wondering if there's something else that might get messed up. The problem is, after talking maybe 15 or so minutes, the person on the other line get destorted then returns to normal. Its all sudden when it goes and comes back. Conversation is crystal clear, distorted, and clear again. We're gonna try talking tonight without either one of us using handsfree. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks, - SJW |

After playing with the phone, I believe 'manner mode' was part of the problem. I've been using the phone out of 'manner mode' for 48hrs with no problems. Going to try it Sunday night in 'manner mode' and see if I get the occational distortions in the earpiece. Anyone have heard of this with LGs? - SJW |

my lg has never messed up like that when being in manner mode.. sounds like an earpiece problem, i'd call vzw, they may replace the phone or at least fix it for you.

Tonight, after doing a quick switch from manner to normal mode, everything was fine again. So, I'm chalking it up as a software glitch. - SJW |

Yes, a headset that fits a Moto that also fits your new LG phone will not mess it up, as long as it fits in there. I'd still get my phone swapped out just to make sure it is a software problem with all phones and not a phone problem. |
