I use the KR1, along with the Kyocera 650, and Verizon for wireless internet. My laptop has two user accounts. I have no problem sending/receiving emails with my main (bellsouth) account, but when I switch users, I occasionally run into trouble (seems mostly with Yahoo) sending. I can receive emails on the guest account but often, I can't send. I've tried various combinations of logging on to the outgoing server with my main account username but that doesn't help. I've tried making the second user account an "adminstrator's" account but that doesn't do anything either. I tried switching outgoing port to 587 but that doens't work. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

I am using the 3G Phoebus MB6000 EVDO router in my office. It works perfectly with 3 computer using VPN at the same time. No issue with emails at all. Here is a cool review for those interested: http://gearlog.com/blogs/gearlog/arc...4/17/9870.aspx I only paid $195 for it after signing up Sprint services. Here is the link where I bought it: http://www.onsale.com/onsale/shop/de...no~7040786.asp |

Usually the problem is not related to the router, but rather your ISP requires something called SMTP Authentication in order to identify you. In most cases, you can receive email, because you have to know your username and password. With SMTP Authentication, you are able to identify yourself before sending email and then your ISP's mail server will let you send. - Mike EVDO info :: EVDO forums :: EVDO blog |
