|  484 data cable and modem usage
Anyone have trouble getting XP to accept their data cable? XP thinks that the drivers are not for that cable. Im running an aftermarket cable and kyocra drivers. im trying to set this up as a modem. on my 98SE it does see the cable and I can use my phone book, but I cant get it set up as a modem on that one either. I just discoverd something kinda odd. On my Win 98se (IBM600E) I dial out with my dial up modem and as soon as that logs on my phone lites up dials my isp's number shows data call then displays this...assc std data rate. it does show time being used too. as soon as i disconnedt my dialup modem the phone will disconnect. Now if I try to dial up with the cell as modem I get two error codes 629 and hit it again then 630. The phone does not light up nor do anything during this so I dont belive the computer is finding the phone. Iv looked and looked here and I dont have any idea how to make it function right now. Im hoping somebody has an idea whats wrong here. Tigger |
