software wont see my phone

Im having trouble with the software that came with my 484. It wont see my phone so I cant upload my contacts to the laptop and also the computer wont see my phone to dial it Iv been trying to set it up for a modem and it shows that it is installed in the modems list but it wont dial when i try to test it. Im using the software that came from kyroceria for the phone along with the cable. On my old computer it does see the phone and I can upload my addy book to it but it wont see the phone as a modem either altough it is listed on the modem list. i have no luck trying to hit it with hypertermial either. Hope someone has some suggestions for me. thanks.

Have you tried updating the mobile phone tools software... It should have something where you can update the software... I know I had an issue when they were switching from BVRP to Advenquest simular to the one you had and I had to download a patch for bluetooth from the phonetools website... Check the troubleshooting on the phone tools website and see if there are any patches that you may need for your particular method of hooking it up or the type of phone you have... Mine was a motorola but they use the same software as kyo does....
