I have downloaded several ring tones from GIN (the kind that say things like "your daughter's calling, etc.) however when I go through the process of setting them up with a specific number in my contacts list, they still don't work when a call from that contact is received.

There is a circle to check for the selected tone for that contact...did that. The tone is downloaded and produces the correct sound/message when I test play it. Still, when a call from that contact is received, it rings with the default ringer setting even though the box for the custom ring is still selected.

Anybody have any ideas as to why this may be happening? (i.e. can I avoid a trip to the Verizon store?)

OK, I got my answer from Verizon...the phone locked up and when the battery was removed/replaced, the setting worked as they were supposed to.

Seems the Kyocera board is pretty sp****...must not be a very popular phone - but seems to work great.
