My 6035 has started to do a couple of strange things and I'm hoping that there is an easy fix. One of my main problems is that when the unit is completely turned off, the Palm portion should come on when I open the flip. Unfortunately, it comes on if the phone is touched in anyway, flip open or closed. It was off and as I set it down on my desk gently to type this, it came on. If I push the flip slightly to the left (in the closed position) it goes back off. My 2nd problem is that when I am in phone mode (VerizonWireless) sometimes I cannot shut down and actually have to remove the battery in order to turn the phone off. With the flip shut, the four icon buttons at the bottom of the phone work, and the numbers in the number pad work, but the green and red phone upper icons will not work, hence pressing the red phone and holding down does not power the unit off. After I remove and reinsert the battery, all is well. This happens every now and then. The Palm activating on its own is now happening constantly. I am assuming there is a mechanical problem with the flip and hope someone can point me in the direction of a quick fix. Thanks very much. PS ... if this posts as anonymous, I don't know why and can't figure out how to change it, but my name is Shana. |

You might want to try www.smartphonesource.com it's the unofficial message board for kyocera smartphones and has a very strong forum. |
