Default Slider recall??
Someone on another forum said that the Slider is being recalled by VZW for a battery issue. Anyone here heard of this? If so, could you provide additional information on the specifics of the recall? I have a Slider & am very interested in this if it is indeed true. Thanks!

is that another forum on the W.A. site or another website alltogether. If it was on Howards froums I can definantly tell you it's not true.

It's true... VZW will no longer be selling this handset. Existing customers will receive a communication regarding the recall.

No, actually it was in Phonescoop's forums. Apparently it's true since there are people there with specific information about it. I'm sure I'll be receiving some kind of notification about replacing my battery or something along those lines.

Interesting. I have two of them and yesterday sent a question via verizonwireless.com's email customer service asking about the recall. I received a nice message indicating that they would respond within 8 hours......tick-toc, tic-toc..................! Naturally, that has come and gone and truthfully, I don't expect an answer at all based on past experience using this system of communicating with them.

Thank goodness their coverage is better than their responsiveness to customer concerns.

the 3250 has a battery recall and the 7135 has a battery recall last year also.
